Jk Fam and Friends- HELLO!
It has been another eventful week! I have officially finished my "newbie training" and am a full-fledged missionary now! However, I feel no different... Haha! I've always been a full-fledged missionary, just no extra hour of training anymore :)
Anyway, this week Scott Hiltwine was baptized!!!!! And not only that, but his son Doug was able to baptize him!! It was probably the most beautiful baptism I've ever seen. As soon as Scott walked into the church he was beaming. The spirit was very strong, as well as the excitement. This had been a three year conversion process for Brother Hiltwine, but now was his time and nothing was stopping him! As soon as he was baptized and came up out of the water, Scotty was absolutely glowing- even more so than before!! His smile was bigger than I'd ever seen it. Then everything went blurry cause I may or may not have cried.... But it was beautiful none the less! Scotty is just the sweetest, most patient, and loving person ever. After his baptism he said he couldn't stop smiling and that he was just so happy! I felt it too- We we're feeling true and pure Joy. His excitement and innocence reminded me that of a child's and suddenly the scriptures made sense. "To enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, we must become as little children". If we can deny ourselves of all pride and trust in His will for us- just as a small child would with their parents- then can we have pure joy in this life!!
Doug is planning to enter into the temple for the first time this week and Sister Morgan and Scotty will be right behind him in a few weeks!! In a year they all plan on going together to the temple to be sealed for all time and eternity. My heart is so full as I think of the rest of their journey here on earth, the influence they'll have on family and friend's to come, and the joy they'll share for the rest of forever-TOGETHER!
This gospel is not a religion. It is not a belief. It is a way of life. This is what Christ taught while He was on the Earth and I know without a doubt that those same teachings and knowledge were restored through the prophet Joseph Smith. Families were meant to be together forever, not just for a short time. The love we feel for our families is divine and can extend beyond this life! I love the gospel with everything in me and I'm so glad I get to be the mouthpiece for Christ in sharing it.
I miss everybody but hope you are all doing well!! Know that I love you all so much and I'm grateful for the Eternal Family I am apart of :)
Until next week 💗
p.s. if you acted on my invitation last week about General Conference, email me about your experiences! I KNOW it will bless you!!!
LOVE YOUUUU!!!
