This week was CRAZY. so so busy.
a few things that happened
So Kyle is trying to stop smoking. We got him started on the no smoking program and we agreed to do it with him, he copes with stress through smoking, we cope with stress through candy and desserts, so we told him we would quite sugar (at least until he stops smoking). We even got some of the other missionaries in our zone in on it. We gathered up all of our Halloween candy and other contraband and gave it to some of the elders at district meeting, it was like Christmas for them! they were like "Man you guys should go sugar free more often!" So we have been sugar free for 6 days. And we plan on continuing until Kyle stops smoking! Mom- that chocolate covered popcorn you sent me- I ate the whole bag in one day ahhahahah
Kyle is going through some really rough stuff right now. He is homeless and looking for a new place to live. Satan has a way of really testing people while they are trying to find the right path.
On Wednesday we were able to go to the temple! It was amazing.
On Wednesday afternoon I was reunited with sister Fa'a. Sister Mendenhall took sister Fa, me, and two other sisters up to the Fort Collins temple. We had to get some fancy pictures taken for a special book that is being made about the Fort Collins temple. Afterwards she took us all to olive garden and that was awesome.
MLC was this week and I learned A TON! My testimony was strengthened and I was able to see things that I need to improve on to become a better Instrument in the hands of God.
Lately I have been thinking a lot about light. (maybe because I am missing taking fall family pictures) but I love light. The light of the Sun as it is rising, the light of the stars against the dark sky. Light makes everything beautiful and warm and happy. Without light nothing could grow, nothing would be beautiful. Christ is the light of the world. The gospel is a light in the world. We are lights of the world. How beautiful to think.
One of my favorite scriptures in in Alma 19:6
Now, this was what Ammon desired, for he knew that king Lamoni was under the power of God; he knew that the dark veil of unbelief was being cast away from his mind, and the light which did light up his mind, which was the light of the glory of God, which was a marvelous light of his goodness—yea, this light had infused such joy into his soul, the cloud of darkness having been dispelled, and that the light of everlasting life was lit up in his soul, yea, he knew that this had overcome his natural frame, and he was carried away in God—
I hope I can bring people to find this light, that I can lead them to the light that can "infuse joy" into our souls.

HIGLIGHTS
This week we were tracting and we got up to a door with a sign that said "NO SOLICITING OF ANY KIND" which is like on every other door. So we ignored it like always and knocked. Seconds later the door SWINGS open and this very large angry man yelled "WHAT!?" in a voice that was WAY too high pitched for his large stature. we proceeded to tell him who we were and what we were doing and he screamed "DONT YOU SEE THE SIGN! IF YOU DONT GET OFF MY PORCH I AM GOING TO LET MY DOGS EAT YOU"
I don't know why it was so funny to me- probably his high pitched voice- but I was cracking up
As for Kyle... He is currently homeless and is looking for a place. We talked to him last night right after everything happened and he just cried the whole time. It was so so hard to watch someone cry and not be able to just fix it for him. After filling up his car with gas (he only had $2 in his wallet) we left him. We were so upset that we called our District Leader just to vent, but low and behold their Bishop is a transient bishop who takes care of people like that!!! He said we could get his number and probably have a place for Kyle to stay in no time!! My heart was so full of joy and love I couldn't contain it! I busted out into tears and we just thanked him over and over again. He replied with " Of course, what's the church for right?"... Its so true. Our job is to reach out to everyone and help them in everyway way we can! Let me tell you first hand that it is the best feeling anyone can ever experience in the world! I know the Lord as big plans for Kyle if he can just keep the faith. Prayers for Kyle would be much appreciated!!!
Also, Gma and Gpa- I met a Sister Larsen this week! She lives in Snowflake AND KNOWS THE HAMILTONS!!!!! She said she used to be good friends with Remy and has been to uncle Matts house before!! Such a small world!
Anyway, that's all for this week folks! Sorry again I couldn't write more.. Stay tuned for next week!
LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!
