My feet barely touched the pedals at the bottom, BUT the work must go on!!!

Hello friends and family!  What a week it has been!

It all started out last Monday which was Zone Pday! We went to the Stake Center and played lots of sports! We started out with volleyball and I was a little rusty at first, but once I got warmed up it was so much fun! We gave each other "game nicknames" because when you re trying to call the ball or tell someone else to get it, saying "sister" or "elder" blah blah blah takes a little too long. My name? Tink. :) Then it turned out to be Tink the Tank because I always hit the ball too hard. lol I thought Lyssa would be proud though! Anyway, after that we played speed ball which of course was so fun! Almost had an asthma attack but no pain no gain! Then we boxed a little bit and played some football- all in all a great zone pday! And needless to say we were sore the next day.

Tuesday was the all looked forward to car-fast! Our wonderful District Leader was able to find bikes for us and fix them up so we could use them on the car fast day.  Problem is... I'm a midget and everyone else is normal sized, aka the bike was too big.. My feet barely touched the pedals at the bottom, BUT the work must go on!!! So with sore bodies we climbed aboard our noble steeds and biked all day! It was very fun actually but yea we were exhausted. However we had a wonderful lesson with our investigator Kaylee and she is progressing so well! She still wants to be baptized, its just a matter of her coming to know if these things are true.

Wednesday and Thursday was our Zone Meeting and I gave a training about having effective studies and lesson plans.  I related it to dance (or any sport really) and how we have to warm up and practiced before we perform aka study and practiced lessons before we teach! It went pretty well!

Friday we went to lunch with some of the sisters we cover to a side of the road Barbecue bus! The name: Put the South in your Mouth. My kinda place. And let me tell you that was some pretty good brisket!! Stay tuned for pics! Friday night was Move Out/Move In night! We moved out of our member's, the Kings, home and into our new members house, The Guthries.  They are sooooooo funny and so sweet!!! I feel like I'm staying at Lisa and Gabe's when I'm there :)  Brother Guthrie, when we finished bringing our stuff in, told us its time to have the "rules talk".  He proceeded to open up the pantry where there is probably 20 bottles of Pepsi and goes, "Here's the Pepsi. If we get low, let me know ill get more! Oh and there's guns all around the house. If you feel like you need to shoot them they're locked and loaded so go for it. And also eat whatever you want."... Needless to say we love it there!!!

So, Sunday was such a great day! We started off by teaching a man named Bernardo that we met while he was washing his car last week. Bernardo  We taught him the Restoration and he loved it!!! He was so intrigued! He even asked us for our testimonies of the Book of Mormon and the spirit was so strong.  He committed to be baptized on  December 10! Stay tuned on how that goes and keep him in your prayers! Also, update on Kyle... He found a place to stay!!! In Downtown Denver! However, he and his girlfriend made up and he still wants to be taught and baptized here in the Parker ward!! He's still so faithful through his hard times and relying on the scriptures and prayer for help. He is amazing. Also!!! He's coming to Tampa January 13!! Go find him!! lol

That's about all the happenings this week! As far as transfers go............ I AM STAYING!!! With sister Sherwood!! So YAY for the Holidays in Parker!!!! If you want to send anything for the Holidays feel free to send it to our house directly. The address is 558 Amanda Pines Drive, Parker CO 80138.  This address is only for the holidays though! The 1250 main street one is still an option too!

If I've learned anything this week its that The Book of Mormon is so vital.  It is the keystone of our religion and Christ is the cornerstone- you cant have one without the other.  The Book of Mormon contains the fullness of the Gospel.  After the Great Apostasy the Bible was taken and translated many different times and even had sections taken out.  While we still know it is the word of God, it has pieces missing.  Clear and plain doctrine about faith and baptism and so on has been misconstrued and misinterpreted. Part of the Book of Mormon is when Christ, as a resurrected being, came to the ancient Native Americans and taught them His gospel.  So there we have the gospel as pure and true as it can come- straight from Christ Himself.  The Book of Mormon can resolve any question and help anyone come closer to God better than any other book.  When put side by side with the Bible, we can know of God's will for us and of His love!! He loves us all. So much.  He provides little miracles everyday for each one of us to see, and once we do, we will feel so blessed and even unworthy of his love.  But we always are worthy for it- He is our Father and we are his children.
I love my Father in Heaven and my Savior Jesus Christ.  They gave me everything, so I'm doing my best to try and give them what I can back.

I love you all so much and hope you have a fantastic week!!!

Love always,
Sister Loyd
