They also sang the cutest songs with hand signals

Hello friends and family!!

This week has been one of miracles!!

Voodoo Donuts
First off, we went to Voodoo Donuts last Monday!! It was the closest donut I've eaten that compares to Publix donuts.... but still just not as good... I'm having publix sandwhich/donut/cookie withdraws for sure.

Anyway, one night during dinner I was talking with a member about my "after-mission plans" (lol what even are those...) and mentioned possibly trying out for the Cougarettes.  She stopped me and told me about a lady in our ward who currently isn't coming, but that she was a Cougarette, a Broncos cheerleader, and a model!!!!! The member showed me pictures of her and her family and her husband and kid are the cutest things ever! So everyday I've been determined to find her and meet with her! One of the days we went to her door, her neighbors were home so we got to talking with them. They were so very nice and open, so we will hopefully be teaching both of them soon!!!

Sister Platt!!! Ahhh!!!
The highlight of my week was......SEEING SISTER PLATT!!! Ahhh!!! Usually when a return missionary comes back in town no one is allowed to see them.  However, we had a rather interesting situation come up.  One of Sister Platt's recent converts died about a year ago.  She never made it to the temple.  Because of this, Sister Platt wanted to do her work, so we had to find the mother's address to ask her permission.  Coincidentally, Sister Borup was the only person who knew where she lived,  so Sister Platt picked us up and we got to meet the whole family!!!! It was so surreal and fun and the best part- She got permission to do the temple work!!! We then celebrated with ice cream which was delicious :)

Lastly, yesterday... ohhh I loved Sunday.  The day started off with us going to church.  A young man we've been working with who we now count as fully active again was able to bless the sacrament for the first time in almost 10 years!! He did SO good and it actually sounded like a sincere prayer, not just a recitation. #Proud

Then Sister Borup and I got to teach SHARING TIME!!!!! Oh my goodness it was the most fun and adorable thing! The primary kids were so attentive and involved.  They also sang the cutest songs with hand signals and it made me want to go to primary every week! So much fun!! Once we left church, we went out and worked. We contacted a woman who requested a Bible and she was so nice! However... she was "in her birthday suit"... Well not really, she was in a robe.. that she wouldn't tie shut.. BUT we have an appointment tonight to talk with her more about the gospel aka we have one new investigator!!!

Right after that, we contacted another referral and found out they didn't live there anymore, but the people who did want us to come back over and teach them aka TWO more new investigators!
If that wasn't enough, we got a call shortly after from a woman who has a friend who wants to take the lessons from sister missionaries.  He's been reading the Book of Mormon for 3 weeks now and "wants to try the Mormon thing out". So that is another new investigator!!

Just in case you missed it.... That is 4 new investigators in a 2 hour time span!! Miracles are real people!!!!!!

That's about it for this week! It was definitely a good one! This is my last week with Sister Borup and I'm sad about that.. but I love her and know we will see each other again!

I love this gospel so much. I love that we have the restored truth and Priesthood on this earth.  I love my family and friends so much. And of course... I love chocolate... particularly Dove. :)

Haha anyways, I hope everyone has had a good week!!!! I love you all and keep you in my prayers always!!! Stay faithful and strong!

God Bless
Sister Loyd
