Sister Borup has NEVER been to high school...

Hello Everyone!

This week has been so good!! Full of memorable moments...

To start off, Monday last week was Zone Personal day! Sister Borup and I are the only sisters in the zone, so naturally that means we tagged along while all the elders played sports (we did the best we could anyway...).  All was fine until one of the elders was stretching in the butterfly position and i said "Hey, I can do that!!" then proceeded to plop down into the butterfly.  All at once i hear a rip. Sure enough, I looked down to a nice little gash in my pants. I literally just ripped my pants in front of an Elder. We both laughed it off but I still had to play the rest of the day with ripped jeans... SUPER FUN. Haha so embarrassing story: check!

Denver East High School
The week was good and we were hard at work! One of the highlights was Friday when we got the opportunity to have a Q&A session at the local high school.  First of all, the high school was BEAUTIFUL! Its very old and looked like a college! Its called Denver East High. Look it up.  Anyway, Sister Borup has NEVER been to high school (the school systems are different in Denmark), so walking on campus was just amazing to her.  She kept saying "this is just like the movies!", "I feel like I'm in high school musical", "they really have these closet things?" (lockers lol), etc. We had a lot of fun! Then we went into a classroom and students filed in.  Question after question flowed and it was mostly the typical "does your dad have a lot of wives", "do you find the Book of Mormon play offensive?", etc.  It was so fun to answer questions and teach doctrine and enlighten everyone! Hopefully seeds were planted in their hearts :) Such a cool experience!

My zone group!

Sister Borup and I recommitted ourselves to talk to EVERYONE and boy it has paid off! We met a woman from Africa who wants to learn more, a man who just moved in the area who needs help restoring his house, and a few other people who were just nice to talk to and get to know! The Lord places people in our path and all we have to do is speak up.  And that applies to EVERYONE, not just missionaries!

My testimony has grown in many many ways, but this week my thoughts have been on the restoration and the priesthood.  How grateful I am to know that the same church Christ established when he was on the earth is again on the earth today! The authority by which He acted to perform miracles is also restored to the earth! It's comforting to know that not just anyone can hold that sacred authority from God, but only worthy men.  Those same miracles can be accessed and performed today, if the faith is sufficient.  When the gospel was restored it was mentioned how the windows of heaven were opened and they shall never be closed again.  To call upon the powers of Heaven for ordinances such as baptism, receiving the Holy Ghost, being married for all time and eternity, and much more is "a marvelous work".  For those who don't know what the Priesthood is, I invite you to follow the link below!! I believe in it, I trust in it, I LOVE it! It has blessed my life immensely and i could never imagine my life without it! https://www.lds.org/topics/priesthood?lang=eng

I love you guys so much and hope all is well! I continue to pray for everyone daily, multiple times a day! Stay faithful! God Bless!!

xo,
Sister Loyd
