My goal is to leave this area better than I found it!

Hello All!

Memories seeing this on Broadway...New York!
So, my first week in Downtown is just about over.. and it's been.... awesome!! I LOVE it here! Beautiful houses, people, buildings, nature, etc.! Of course there are the ugly sides of it too but that's what makes it so real.  My companion, Sister Borup, is just the funniest thing ever I love her! We get along so great and both like to work hard.

This area is much different from Commerce City in the sense that it's a different kind of missionary work.  A lot of working with the members and finding less actives on top of finding and teaching investigators.  It'll be a challenge but I'm so up for it! My goal is to leave this area better than I found it.  The Lord sent me here for a reason so I intend to do everything I can to fulfill that reason!

Really not much to update on other than I love where I'm at! I'm sure there will be more next week though. Otherwise, I'll leave you with my testimony. Just know that I know that Jesus is the Christ.  He is our Savior and Redeemer and without Him we can do nothing.  He provided us with the only means whereby we can obtain Salvation- through repentance.

Repenting is not all sorrow and misery. It is that chance to leave bad habits, thoughts, actions, words, etc. behind and start fresh and new towards a better You! I'm so grateful for the Atonement and its continuous effect in my life, but my favorite part is that EVERYONE has access to use the Atonement.  There is no prerequisite or condition that you have to go through first to obtain mercy.  All you have to do is be sorry, have a desire and willingness to change, and then do it! It's that easy.  Jesus Christ sacrificed himself for us so we could have this gift of the Atonement to be able to return to Him.

Let's use it! Let's constantly edify ourselves and ask "What Lack I Yet?". If we make the effort to be more Christ-like everyday we will see miracles, be happier, and have a more fulfilling life! I don't know anyone who doesn't want that.. So this week I invite everyone to take the time to think about and write down the things you can improve on and make a plan of action how to do it! Throughout this process, enlist God's help and use the Atonement to strengthen your weaknesses.  I promise as you sincerely do this you WILL see a difference - I've seen it in my own life.  "If we let Christ define us, He can refine us."

I love you all so much and hope you're doing well! Keep me updated on your lives and I look forward to hearing from you next week!

LOVE YOUUU!!!!!!
