This isn't just any ordinary museum, but its a DANCE MUSEUM!

Hello Hello family and friends!!!

I love and miss you all, but I'm loving it here as well!  This week.. I really cant remember all that happened this week, its all starting to run together... haha but ill tell ya what I remember!!

Well we worked at the Temple Wednesday and it was great as always! This time we got to work in a room that was bigger aka busier, so about every 5 minutes another large group would come in! It made it really fun.  What was really great though is watching all the adorable babies that came in 😍  My favorite part about this is watching the families react to the video.  The video talks a lot about families and how they can be eternal and the comfort and love they feel for each other because of this. When families watch this they usually cry or pull each other closer or smile... either way its so heart-warming to see.  Families really can be Eternal and there is definitely a sense of peace and comfort and love that comes from knowing that!

Later this week we went to lunch with Luke Lee!! This was so fun! As soon as we walked in Luke was doing missionary work...lol He was telling his receptionist about the temple and us as missionaries and so on. It was great!  I got to meet another Brandi that works for him. It got pretty confusing but still great! We also had another woman come with us! We went to Jason's Deli and had delicious sandwiches, but the best part was.. free ice cream cones!! I'm a fan of this place.  Anyway, thanks Brother Lee for taking us out!! You're the best!!

Saturday we worked at the Temple again.  It was great as always, but here are a sample of some of the questions I get: "What are the oxen for?" "Who is the guy on top of the Temple and why?" "How do you baptize dead people?" "How much was it to build the temple?" "How long?" "How does the recommend thing work?"

See if you can answer these questions! It always made for great conversations :)

Sunday was a  fantastic day!! We went to church and had a very interesting Sacrament meeting (as always 💗).  However, at Sacrament meeting we had 1 of our investigators, and two of our Less Actives there! one of whom we'd never met and the other we've been trying to get to church for a while!! My heart was so full and I wanted to jump for joy!!! I kept thanking Heavenly Father for these miracles :)

That night we took some of our recent converts to the Family History Center to find names to take to the Temple.  We got to help them a lot, but once they left i was curious to see if i could find my own names! Most of the work in the family has been done so i was doubtful, but upon digging I DID find a name!!!! Mrs. Jane B Williams from the 1800s will be another name I can take to the Temple to one day baptize and open the gates of Heaven for her! This was a really neat experience.  Sister Nielsen and I wanted to do it more and more but, due to time, we had to leave right after :( But the work, even on the other side, never stops!!! There are always souls to save!!!

The next day, bright and early, we went to the Temple again! It was a little slower of the day, but still great nonetheless! I got to work the camera this time (hence the silly picture) so that was exciting.  There were three highlights to this day! 1) Scott Hiltwine, who is one of my recent converts from my last area, was there volunteering!!!! I was sooooo happy to see him!!!! The whole family is doing so well and now have callings in the church! They also have Temple Dates set to go next year for when they want to do their endowments and I am just soooo happy and excited for them!!!! 2)Sister Pitchforth, my mission mom from my last area, was working at the temple as well!!! She was sweet and loving as ever and it was so great to see her again! and 3) While working in a video room we had one of the head personnel tell us the were going to hold our room for the Catholic ArchBishop who was coming to tour the Temple! After waiting about 30 minutes he came into the room and we were able to talk with him and introduce him to the House of the Lord! It was an incredible experience and I cant help but wonder what he thought throughout the process.  He seemed to like it though, and he was very nice!

That night we met with our investigator Jen one last time before her Baptism this Sunday!!!!! We taught, testified, cried, all that jazz and the Spirit was so strong.  We are so grateful and honored to be a part of Jen's story!! She is amazing and so prepared to receive this Gospel and make covenants with her Heavenly Father.  She was interviewed for baptism- passed, of course! Then she even received a blessing from the Elders there (her shoulder had been giving her immense pain lately).  She's had a little experience with blessings in the past, but it was just so sweet and pure to see her faith as she asked for a blessing for the Priesthood to heal her.  I'm so grateful for the Priesthood and its Divine power to minister to others- anywhere and everywhere!

Anyway, Today is our pday (since we didn't get one yesterday) and we're planning on going to a museum! This isn't just any ordinary museum, but its a DANCE MUSEUM! I'm so excited to see some form of dance art, its been while.. lol This week I will be working at the Temple Wednesday 8/31 from 3-9, Friday 9/2 from 9-3,  Thursday 9/8 and Friday 9/9.  That is it for the rest of my Temple Schedule. We've got a full week but I want to cherish every last minute of it!!

Welp its almost September which means almost Fall!! By the time I leave Denver I will have gone through 3 different seasons. I wouldn't have it any other way! I love it here! Miracles are happening everyday and continue to happen! As I approach my 9 months in October I'm keenly aware that it is going by really fast - too fast! I understand now why Sisters always request more time on their missions! I'm doing what I can to improve myself while I'm here! Some of this includes what I like to call "growing pains" such as learning not to keep pineapple in the can after you open it (it tastes like metal...), making sure to put opened food in a plastic bag before throwing it in the trash (fruit flies are the WORST), and finding the right sized light bulbs for your bathroom (showering in the dark.. also the WORST).  But with every thing that goes wrong I'm learning how to make it go right! The mission has brought me so much joy and continues to do so!

Well expect more pics from the temple this week! It's gonna be a good one!

I love and miss you all so much!! Thank you for all you do!

Stay happy, hungry, and humble!
LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!

Sister Loyd
