Arriving at the MTC (Missionary Training Center)
Upon arrival, I was whisked away to get my name tag and put my luggage away. I was excited throughout it all but still a little apprehensive. I went to my classroom and met my district, then we went to an orientation and then to this seminar called People and Our Purpose. It basically ended up being a lesson with an investigator while a huge group of us missionaries got to teach them. To see their reactions at what we were teaching was amazing! It was this moment that all my apprehension or sorrow about leaving vanished and I KNEW I was exactly where I was meant to be doing exactly what I needed to be doing!
The MTC is seriously such an amazing place. The elder in our ward referred to it as spirit prison (which I can see why he thinks that... at least in prison they get visitors..) but I think of it as spirit paradise!! I have felt the spirit with me as a constant companion here, and have witnessed some truly amazing things already! It is a dedicated area and sacred things really do happen here... I love it! :-)
