Week of NORMALCY...

Hello Everybody!!!! I love and miss you all and hope you had a great week!

This week was SUPERRRRR normal. lol Nothing super special to report about. We taught the people, we found more people, went to meetings, etc etc.

There was however a lesson we had with our investigator Bernardo this week that went really well! He just got back from Brazil so we taught him about Church attendance and the Book of Mormon. He received it greatly and even said he wants to come to church this week! So we are counting on seeing him there! We also invited him to pray about the Book of Mormon and he said he would! He seems to be progressing quite well! We even brought up baptism and he set the goal as March 11 for his baptismal date!!!!!! We are so excited for him!!!!!

We also met with Sabrina this week (shes the one with the two little boys.. the blonde one is in love with me and im in love with him so theres that) and taught her about Personal Revelation. She said how this came at a perfect time in her life as she is trying to figure out some feelings shes been having and needs an answer! Im so glad we can be a tool for the Lord to help people understand this perfect Gospel we have!!

This Sunday something pretty big happened...... I.... had to.... SING A SOLO 😱 *gasp* I know i know why would anybody want me to sing? I kept asking myself that question too... lol But last week at choir practice the lady asked me to sing in a quartet and I had to start out the song with a mini solo.  I said "...im not sure you really want me too..." but she did. SOO the night before church i made sure i brushed my teeth really good and mouth-washed it out so that my throat wouldnt be sore in the morning (i ALWAYS have a sore throat...). I even prayed really hard that id be able to sing with a clear voice. Well i woke up the next morning and not only was my throat sore, but my voice was cutting in and out profusely. I got really nervous. But after a good little warm up and 2 sticks of gum later i was doing a little better. The time came to sing and we did it!! No problem!

Now some would say 'why didnt God answer your prayer?' or 'He doesnt care about that, thats why it didnt happen' or 'is He even listening'. Well im here to say that He DOES answer prayers, He DOES care and He IS listening!! Sometimes the way that God answers our prayers or provides things for us is not always in the way we want or anticipate. Remember when Nephi was tied up by his brothers and he cried to the Lord saying 'give me strength to burst these bands I am in'.  Did the Lord give him strength to burst the bands?.... No. However, He did loosen the bands so that Nephi could wiggle out and be free. This is the same thing that happened to me!  I recall that i prayed for me to be able to sing with no problems and be clear and hit all the notes.  So even though i woke up with what sounds like worst case scenerio, He still blessed me when the moment mattered most! And its because He loves us all very individually and wants us to be Happy!
I know the power of prayer works. I know that recognizing answers to prayers strengthens our relationship with God and helps us to draw closer to Him each day.  This week I invite you to be more conscientious about what youre praying for and looking for the answers when they come! I promise you they will if you have the faith!!

I love you all very much and hope all is going well!!! Have a great week and "Count Your many Blessings"!!

Love Always,
Sister Loyd
